One of the best posters ever, despite BDW’s objections. I have seen another version of this Style A poster, with the “Printed in U.S.A.,” the union logo, and the NSS paragraph at the bottom center, and nothing in the bottom corners. I’m wondering if one is a restrike, or if they’re both equally legitimate. Perhaps one is the first printing? Any clarification is appreciated.

Hi Todd, sorry for the delay in replying. I’ve not heard of a version like the one you described, which does sound a little unusual. Do you know what it’s provenance is?

Here’s one like I described for auction at Heritage Auctions.

Interesting. I’ve never seen that before. There’s no mention of it on StarWarsMoviePoster.com but it might be worth contacting the site to see if they’ve heard of it: See here

Actually the one on StarWarsMoviePoster.com is the one with the NSS paragraph in the center. Maybe yours is the studio version. This page talks about the differences, but unfortunately the pictures are gone. http://eatbrie.com/AuthenticationESB.htm

Ah, you’re right. I missed that. That’s the NSS one and mine is the studio. The NSS is definitely rarer, especially rolled (as Thierry says).
